Good read and information is easy to understand. The performance planning meeting between the manager and employees starts at the beginning of the performance cycle period where objectives are defined, objectives weight % are allocated based on importance, KPIs are agreed upon and what development needs are required. Cascading objectives from manager to employee level remain to be an issue. What happens when you have an incompetent manager, you risk misalignment in objectives which is more or less an issue with the organization and not this performance manual. I wish it had more ways to validate objective cascading to the employee level. Overall the performance manual or guide is flexible and can easily be implemented. I particularly like I can edit the manual making it easy for me to adapt any changes I want for my company. The short-term incentive plan came with it, a big plus!
