Introduction
The purpose of this open-door in the workplace is to encourage open communication, feedback, and discussion about any matter of importance to the employee.
By listening to its employees, companies can improve, to address complaints, and to enhance employee understanding of the rationale for practices, processes and decisions that are taken by the company.
Mangers are expected to benefit by gaining valuable insight into possible problems with existing methods, procedures, and approaches. Company employees always have the opportunity, through the open-door policy, to be heard.
