Based on data collected in 2019 from twenty local based companies in the Gulf Countries, only one (5%) company has an environmental sustainability strategy. Ninety-five percent (95%) of companies did not understand the purpose or value of engaging in environmental sustainability programs.

The focus moving forward is to clearly demonstrate to companies that they can save money or make money by engaging in environmental sustainability programs, such as energy efficiency equipment / appliances, green buildings, recycling, eliminate single-use plastics, and paper-free environment.
